Aeon held Japan's largest exhibition for active seniors, "Grand Generations Collection 2014," at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from April 11 to 13. This marked the third year for the event. At the opening press conference, Executive Managing Director Soichi Okazaki stated, "We will continue striving to provide innovative products and services so that our company earns the strongest support from the G.G. generation (Grand Generation)." On stage, a show featuring senior models introduced new concept fashions, eyewear, swimwear, and non-alcoholic wine.
Guest celebrities Junji Takada and actress Mari Natsuki appeared wearing Aeon fashion items. They cheered on the GG generation, saying, "Let's thoroughly enjoy the latter half of life."
At the venue, 61 booths were set up by 22 Aeon Group companies and other general businesses. They promoted various senior-oriented products and services—including fashion, food, beverages, culture, and hobbies—under four themes: "Adult Women's Power," "Adult Men's Power," "Health Power," and "Cultural Power." Daily live performances and talk shows were held, attracting approximately 51,000 visitors over the three days. The G.G Collection was also featured at AEON Mall Makuhari Shintoshin, the company's largest flagship store opened last December near the venue, attracting shoppers with numerous stage events.
