Mao Asada, who has used it since age 16, has been featured in the "ALSOA Queen Silver" advertisement.

On August 26, Alsoa, a company engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of cosmetics and health foods, held a new advertising visual launch event for its facial soap "Alsoa Queen Silver" at the Conrad Tokyo in Minato Ward. Since its launch in 1972, this product has been a long-selling skincare item known for "removing impurities while preserving moisture."

 

President Reiko Takiguchi announced the new Princess Size, weighing 70 grams—roughly half the regular size—and expressed confidence: "Some families have used it for two or three generations. It has enjoyed women's support for 42 years."

Figure skater Mao Asada, featured in the new advertising visuals, appeared on stage. Asada shared that she has used ALSOA since she was 16, explaining that she first encountered the product when she forgot her cosmetics for an overseas competition and a friend lent her this very item. "At that moment, I knew I would use it forever," she revealed.

The unveiled advertising visual features Asada in a white dress, posing as if dancing on ice with the product in the background. It will be used for in-store posters, magazine ads, and outdoor advertising. The catchphrase is "I choose." Seeing the visual for the first time, Asada stated, "I'm delighted to be featured in an advertisement for a product I can confidently recommend."

 

Alsoa emphasized that creating fine, smooth foam before cleansing is crucial. An instructor demonstrated the proper foam-making technique on stage. Asada was thoroughly impressed by the skill, stating, "I hope many people experience it and become loyal users."

The company is running a gift campaign featuring Mao-themed goods (entry period: September 1 to November 30). The special prize is a premium ticket to win a lottery for the "Learn with Mao! New Year Skincare & Makeup Workshop & New Year Party" (scheduled for January 2015).
