At the "Paper Windmill Taiwan Animal & Insect Creative Exhibition," an event themed around animals and insects held at Taipei's Wanhua District Youth Park from October 5th to 20th, a "Giant Sperm Whale" made its appearance as one of the exhibition halls, drawing the attention of visitors. This was reported by the United Evening News and others.
The giant sperm whale stands 12 meters tall and measures 68 meters in length, more than twice the size of the popular giant rubber duck sculpture "Rubber Duck" displayed in Kaohsiung City. While the Rubber Duck is made of polyvinyl chloride, this whale is constructed from bulletproof fabric, giving it high strength.
According to the Paper Windmill Foundation, which organized the exhibition, the whale's large form symbolizes "the vastness of the sea and dreams." The interior recreates the seabed, decorated with colorful fish and jellyfish-like objects to create an immersive exhibit.
In addition to the giant whale, the exhibition featured sections including the "Taiwan Animal Area," "Giant Taiwan Insect Area," and "Game Area."
<Japanese translation of Chinese photo caption> Hello, little ones. I'm the "Diving Champion" sperm whale who sometimes appears off the coast of Hualien! This time, Kamifūsen made me three times bigger than a regular sperm whale. Even though I'm this huge, there's nothing supporting me. Isn't that amazing! But the even more amazing thing is inside my belly. Everyone, hurry in and take a look!
