The selection committee for the 34th (2015) "Tokyo Advertising Association Shinobu Shirakawa Award" convened on December 9, 2014, and decided to present the award to Hiroshi Sasaki.
Established in 1982 using funds donated by the late Shinobu Shirakawa, the first Chairman of the Japan Advertising Association (now the Tokyo Advertising Association) founded in 1947 (who served as Shiseido Co., Ltd.'s Director of Advertising and Promotion and Executive Managing Director, among other roles), the award honors his outstanding achievements in the advertising industry. It is presented annually to recognize contributions and activities that advance the development of advertising.
The award ceremony will be held during the 87th Tokyo Advertising Association Regular General Meeting at the Imperial Hotel on Friday, February 20, 2015.
The reasons for the award are as follows.
