World Athletics Championships kick off! Bolt wins back-to-back titles by 0.01 seconds

Held every two years, this championship is the world's premier track and field event. Over 1,900 athletes from 207 countries and regions are participating in this edition. For nine days until the 30th, intense competition will unfold across events including sprints, long-distance running, hurdles, pole vault, shot put, and marathon.

Japan sent a team of 53 athletes: 36 men and 17 women, including the highly anticipated sprinter Hakim Sani Brown.

In the men's 100-meter final on the second day of competition, Usain Bolt (Jamaica) edged out rival Justin Gatlin (USA) by a mere 0.01 seconds to achieve his second consecutive victory.

TBS (the IAAF Official Broadcaster) will broadcast over 60 hours of the event, primarily during prime time. Actor Yuji Oda and freelance announcer Miho Nakai will serve as the main program casters. This marks their 10th consecutive Games since Athens 1997.
