Toyota Motor Corporation exhibited 17 models at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show (October 29 - November 8, Tokyo Big Sight), including four concept cars making their world premiere.

During the October 28 press briefing, President Akio Toyoda spoke about the company's approach to carmaking, aligning with the booth's theme: WHAT WOWS YOU? He emphasized, "You can't create that 'WOW' moment of wonder unless you step into the batter's box, even if you don't know if you'll hit a home run. Constant challenge is essential." At this point, he welcomed surprise guest Ichiro Suzuki. Ichiro offered encouragement: "I'm not a great driver, but I absolutely love cars. I'm truly honored to be invited. I change my batting stance every year, challenging myself to move forward. I hope bold challenges will make cars even better." President Toyoda responded, "We want to build even better cars and strive to realize a fun mobility society."

The next-generation Prius, a dedicated hybrid model adopting the TOYOTA New Global Architecture (TNGA), made its Japanese debut.

The TOYOTA S-FR makes its world debut. This concept model pursues the fun of an entry-level car that responds exactly as you intend and allows you to interact with it in everyday driving.

The TOYOTA C-HR Concept, making its Japan debut, is a next-generation compact crossover concept model. It boldly combines a compact body size with outstanding environmental performance and agile driving dynamics.

The TOYOTA FCV PLUS makes its world debut. This next-generation fuel cell vehicle concept car not only consumes energy but also serves as a power source, embodying the slogan "From Eco-Car to Energy Car."

KIROBO MINI, developed incorporating insights gained from the KIBO ROBOT PROJECT's robotic astronaut, was also on display. It is a communication partner that enjoys casual conversation with humans, finds someone to talk to and reacts, displaying expressions and gestures.
