Boss Home Espresso Latemix PR Vent

Suntory Beverage & Food International held a PR event on March 17 at Futakotamagawa Rise Galleria in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, to coincide with the launch of its new canned coffee product, "BOSS Home Espresso Latte Mix."

This product is a concentrated coffee that allows you to enjoy authentic café lattes simply by mixing it with three times the amount of milk. It uses 100% flavorful Arabica beans as its raw material and undergoes a unique roasting process. Available in unsweetened and lightly sweetened varieties, its convenience is also appealing, as one PET bottle (490 milliliters) yields approximately 10 cups of café latte.

Takuya Kinoshita, Manager of the company's Brand Development Second Division, explained the new product's concept: "To allow even more customers to enjoy Boss, we targeted housewives who were less familiar with canned coffee as our main audience."

Next, Hiroyuki Amano of the comedy duo Cayin and actor Gaku Sano, who appear in the product's promotional web video "Him, Home Cooking, and Café Latte," took the stage. They reminisced about the filming while chatting.

The video comically depicts cooking scenes: Amano, known for his culinary skills, and Sano, whose clumsy attempts lead to repeated mishaps. Sano even shared an anecdote about accidentally cooking spinach stems, drawing laughter from the audience.

Amano introduced how to make white brownies as a quick dessert perfect with café lattes, while Sano demonstrated making café lattes using latte mix. Whispering the line "Hey, what do you feel like eating?" used in the video, they both served the treats to a female audience member.

Sano then pulled out a homemade cake he baked himself, surprising Amano with birthday wishes for her March 24th birthday. Referencing the 1:3 ratio of latte mix to milk, Sano commented, "I made the ratio of chocolate-mixed pancakes to unmixed pancakes 1:3." Amano responded with a surprised look at the cake's quality, saying, "You're getting better."
