Kao Attack Enjoy without worrying about splatter stains Gourmet Event Held

Starting March 19, Kao is running its "Even Splatter-Prone Gourmet Gets Clean" campaign nationwide. As part of promoting its laundry detergent "Ultra Attack Neo," the company selected and collected "splatter-prone gourmet" dishes (local delicacies where soup or sauce easily splatters but the flavor is exceptional) from all 47 prefectures to demonstrate Attack's cleaning power.

As part of this campaign, the "Menya Tobihane" gourmet event, where visitors can freely slurp and enjoy ramen—a national dish—is being held for a limited time from March 22 to 25 at the Roppongi Hills Grand Roof Plaza in Tokyo.
At the venue, four carefully selected ramen shops from across Japan are taking turns to serve ramen that can only be enjoyed locally. There is also a corner where visitors can experience Attack's cleaning power firsthand.

An opening event was held on the first day, featuring the comedy trio Dacho Club as guests, making for a lively start.
Satoshi Nohara from the Fabric Care Division stated, "In response to feedback that people hesitate to enjoy delicious food heartily due to worries about splatters, we're running a campaign demonstrating how Attack removes food stains from gourmet dishes across the country. We're sharing the results on our website and started airing TV commercials today. We hope everyone enjoys this hands-on event."

Appearing in all-white outfits, the three members of Dacho Club immediately cracked their signature gag upon learning a bowl of ramen cost 300 yen: "Whoa, we didn't hear about that~!" When told about half the population doesn't slurp their ramen, self-proclaimed gourmet Jimon Terakado emphasized the importance of slurping: "What's the point if you don't slurp? It doesn't taste good if you don't slurp!" During the tasting of the special ramen, after their usual back-and-forth, Ueshima Ryuhei ended up eating it as always. Then, in another classic moment—not "oden artistry" but "ramen artistry"—Ueshima's shirt was left with a clear stain from spilled noodles.
Attack Neo researcher Takanori Ozaki explained that he applied Attack directly to the stain and simply rinsed it off with water. When the three tried to demonstrate, somehow boiling water appeared, leading to another classic "boiling water stunt."
As the demonstration began, the soup stains vanished before their eyes, restoring the shirt to its original pristine whiteness. This astonishing result left the audience speechless, laughter forgotten.

The three concluded with messages like, "We were amazed to see Attack's power firsthand!", "Now we can eat without worrying about splatters!", and "Enjoy the event because Attack is here!".
