Pilot "Acroball" Event This year's Orihime and Hikoboshi are the Viking.

Pilot Corporation held a sampling event titled "~May Your Wishes Come True with Acroball~ PILOT Acroball Star Festival" on June 9th and 10th at the SHIBUYA109 Event Square in Tokyo. The event promoted the smooth writing experience of its oil-based ballpoint pen, the "Acroball."

On the first day of the event, comedians Eiji Kotoge and Mizuki Nishimura of the duo BIKINGU appeared in custom-made Orihime and Hikoboshi costumes, inspired by Tanabata. They revealed wishes written on tanzaku strips. Kotoge announced a self-deprecating wish: "Please don't let my scalp get any smoother," adding with apparent earnestness, "Sometimes people tell me, 'You're going bald again!'" Meanwhile, Nishimura wrote, "I want to be able to speak smoothly without stumbling."
As Orihime and Hikoboshi, the two listened to wishes from audience members who came on stage.
When a woman said, "I want another super cute Chihuahua," Kotoge suggested, "Why don't you go to that pet shop over there..." Nishimura interjected, "Don't try to wrap this up so fast! That's not what she meant," drawing laughter. They then listened to wishes like "I hope I can get married" and "I hope I can find a boyfriend," presenting participants with "Acro Balls."

Next, the host invited the next person, and stand-up comedians Koume Tayuu and AMEMIYA appeared as surprise guests. When Koume Tayuu shared his wish—"Make me break out again soon! Smoothly! I want it, damn it!"—Kotoge fired back, "You haven't even broken out yet!" and "You're using 'smoothly' all wrong!" AMEMIYA wrote, "May I never get laryngitis again," and passionately sang a parody of his signature song, "I started Acroball~".

A photo spot produced by Nishimura-san also appeared at the venue. When the photo spot, composed of gold tanzaku strips, was unveiled, Nishimura-san proudly declared, "A masterpiece has been created!" He added, "I used plenty of sparkles that women love. It's all gold, so you can feel the luxury. It's definitely Instagram-worthy. Please come with your family, friends, or significant other."
After the event, the four participated in a public sampling session. The strips of paper inscribed with "Acroball" will be dedicated to Ashikaga Orihime Shrine in Tochigi Prefecture at a later date.
