[Participants Wanted] Dentsu Inc. Design Talk: "We'll Make Anything."

The Dentsu Inc. Design Talk Secretariat will host the talk event "We'll Make Anything" on November 11 at Dentsu Inc. Hall in Shiodome, Tokyo. Guests include sculptor Kogoro Kurata, Kaibutsu's Tomoaki Kitanishi, and PARTY TOKYO's Hiroki Nakamura.

We are recruiting 30 attendees (first-come, first-served) from Web Dentsu Inc. News readers for this event. Click here for application details.

[From the Secretariat]

Sculptor Kogoro Kurata grew up in a family of Western blacksmiths and has been creating unique works since high school. In 2005, he built a life-size replica of the "Scopedog" from the Japanese anime "Armored Trooper Votoms." In 2012, he created the world's first giant robot capable of human occupancy, "Kratas," generating significant buzz. Yusuke Kitanishi of Kaibutsu, who met Kurata in 2005, co-founded the new company "Nandemo Tsukuru Yo" with him in 2018. They now collaborate on various projects, including commissioned work. While Kitanishi himself maintains a "meticulous, detail-obsessed" approach to his work at Kaibutsu, his encounter with Kurata seems to have sparked a new awakening in his creative process. For this Dentsu Inc. Design Talk, we are joined by Hiroki Nakamura, who was Kitanishi's colleague during his secondment to Dentsu Inc. Interactive Communication Bureau. Nakamura left Dentsu Inc. to pursue project creation unconstrained by advertising at PARTY TOKYO ( ). Together, they will discuss the rigor and the joy of "creating."
