KDDI and Okinawa Cellular began airing the new "UQ Student Discount" TV commercial, titled "UQ Three Brothers," on November 20.
In this edition, the familiar trio of Kyoko Fukada (eldest sister), Mikako Tabe (second sister), and Mei Nagano (youngest sister) appear dressed in school uniforms as male students, transforming into the "UQ Three Brothers."
As Pink Lady's song "UFO" plays, the "UQ Three Sisters" – now the "UQ Three Brothers" – strike cool poses in their school uniforms and start a conversation. When the youngest asks, "Why uniforms?" and "Why boys?", the eldest replies without hesitation, "Why not? It looks like a student discount commercial," and the second sister adds, "Why not? It's a free era." Then, as they strike a pose for the camera with the chant "UQ♪," Pink Gacha (Mom) and Blue Muku (Dad) appear through the gym storage room window. After a shot of the three brothers striking surreal poses with baseball bats, badminton shuttlecocks, and jump ropes, the commercial concludes with an introduction to the "UQ Student Discount."
The commercial can be viewed on the official YouTube channel and the company website. The making-of footage & interviews can be viewed here.
