Natsumi Wada

Born in 1993. Raised by deaf parents, sign language became my first language. Through research on visual body language and collaborations with individuals of diverse physicalities, I explore the potential of the senses as a medium. Obtained sign language interpreter certification in 2016. Recognized as a "Super Creator" in the 2016 IT Frontier Talent Discovery and Development Program. 2017–2018: Exhibited emargensis!033 "tacit creole / tying and untying" at ICC. 2019: Represented Japan in the PRINT category at the Cannes Young Lions Awards.
