Summer on the water deck—cheers with ice-cold highballs!
TV Asahi will hold the limited-time gourmet event "Mizukami Highball Festival presented by JIM BEAM" at the Mouri Garden within Roppongi Hills in Minato Ward, Tokyo, from July 12 to 26.

This event is part of the "TV Asahi Roppongi Hills Summer Festival SUMMER STATION" held throughout TV Asahi and Roppongi Hills. Since its start in 2014, the style of setting up a deck over the garden pond as a dining space has proven popular. This year, the event period is split into two halves: the Highball Festival runs until the 26th, and from the 28th until August 26th, it will operate as the "TOKYO BEER TERRACE presented by The PREMIUM MALT’S".

The menu features alcoholic beverages like "Jim Beam Highball" and "Jim Beam Highball Apple," along with food items perfect for pairing with highballs. These include the "MEGA Beef Skewers," a collaboration with the station's information program "Morning Show with Shinichi Hatori," and "Fried Gnocchi with Avocado Dip."

A reception party was held on the 11th, the day before the opening, hosted by the station's announcers Natsumi Uga and Yukino Yamamoto, both dressed in yukata.
Guests included actors Masahiro Komoto and Karen Miyazaki, who appear in the Thursday mystery drama "Iryu Sosa" (TV Asahi network, every Thursday at 8:00 PM), which starts on the 12th.
The two promoted the show, saying, "It's a very human drama. The staff and cast are all working hard on set with a kind spirit. We hope you enjoy it." They also promoted it, saying, "It features a cast full of unique personalities, making it a heartwarming drama." When Mr. Komoto mentioned an episode with lead actor Takaya Kamikawa, saying, "In the drama, I'm always tormented by Kamikawa-kun, but in real life, I'm the one bossing him around," Ms. Miyazaki revealed the friendly atmosphere on set, saying, "The way those two interact is like a comedy duo, so I secretly filmed it on my phone."

When the voluminous "Huge T-Bone Steak" and "Extra Cheese Thick-Cut MEGA Bacon Steak" arrived at the table, Miyazaki's eyes widened, exclaiming, "That meat is huge!"
Apron-clad Komoto and Miyazaki sliced the dishes and served them to the gathered reporters. Together with announcers Uga and Yamamoto, they toasted with ice-cold "MEGA Jim Beam Highballs."
