Dentsu Inc. and Pinterest Japan Form Business Alliance Supporting Pinterest's Development as a Strategic Partner in Japan

Dentsu Inc. has entered into a business partnership agreement with Pinterest Japan (hereinafter Pinterest), a provider of visual-based interest graph services, as a strategic partner in Japan.

Pinterest's interest graph service, "Pinterest," is a tool that allows users to collect and share images, videos, and other data they find online, much like a scrapbook. Users can gain inspiration and make new discoveries through this platform.

Launched in the U.S. in 2010, this service rapidly spread worldwide, particularly among smartphone users. In October 2013, Pinterest established its Japanese subsidiary and launched its service in Japanese.

As Pinterest's strategic partner, Dentsu Inc. will provide consulting on Japanese market insights and strategies to support the company's business expansion. It will also support awareness and PR activities to invigorate Pinterest in Japan.

Dentsu Inc. will also propose strategic marketing activities utilizing Pinterest to advertisers and media companies, while creating new forms of communication and providing value to Pinterest users.
