Dentsu Inc. and Dentsu Digital Inc. Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dentsu Inc., have invested a total of approximately 200 million yen in S-Cubism Holdings (hereinafter "S-Cubism") through the Dentsu Digital Investment Limited Partnership (commonly known as the Dentsu Digital Fund) ※1 operated by the company.
SQB Holdings, the recipient of this investment, is a rapidly growing venture company providing solutions for e-commerce (EC) businesses and operating in the retail sector.
Today, customer challenges in the EC domain span diverse areas such as customer acquisition methods, sales methods, content creation, CRM, and omnichannel integration. In February of this year, Dentsu Inc. announced a business alliance with S-Cubism, embarking on the development and sales of "DECIDE" ※2, an EC solution capable of flexibly addressing these challenges. The purpose of this investment is to further solidify the partnership between the two companies and to strengthen and accelerate the Dentsu Group's initiatives in the EC domain. Furthermore, S-Cubism transitioned to a holding company structure in April and is advancing its journey toward further business growth under this new organizational framework. The Dentsu Group will support the company's continued growth through backing from the Dentsu Digital Inc. Fund and business synergies achieved through collaboration.
*1 The Dentsu Digital Inc. Fund was established in October 2010. Its purpose is to accelerate the growth of the Dentsu Group's digital businesses and contribute to the healthy development of digital communication markets not only in Japan but also in the United States, China, and other regions.
Key investment areas include digital marketing platforms and digital media, digital technology, social marketing, digital device development, and the deployment of new business models leveraging digital technology.
※2 "DECIDE (Dentsu E-Commerce Ideal Designing Engine)" is a solution that provides affordable services by combining modules to flexibly address challenges specific to each company's size and e-commerce operations. It also aims to be a solution that combines order data, on-site behavioral data, and advertising placement data to utilize it as integrated marketing data.
