"You idiot"!? To the audience! Kanjani∞'s Okura makes a sadistic remark!

The premiere screening for Toho's film "Clover" was held on September 22 at the Tokyo International Forum in Chiyoda Ward. The film is a live-action adaptation of Chino Toriko's wildly popular shōjo manga "Clover," which has sold over 9 million copies. Like the manga, it comically depicts the romantic entanglements unfolding in an office, centered around a pure-hearted new OL and her sadistic boss. Emi Takei plays the role of new office worker Saya, while Tadayoshi Okura plays the cool, sadistic, handsome boss Tsuge. The film opens on November 1st.

A 3-meter-tall "Sadistic Staircase" was set up for the event. When Okura and Takei appeared, the venue erupted in a huge cheer. Also present (from left in the photo below) were director Ken Furusawa, Natsuna, Kentaro Nagayama, and Yusuke Uechi.

Regarding Tsuge's frequent "You idiot!" lines in the film, Ms. Takei addressed the audience: "You want to be called an idiot, right? Everyone wants Mr. Okura to call them an idiot, right?" This drew huge cheers and applause from the crowd.
Amidst this, Okura-san reluctantly turned to the audience and, in a voice straight out of the film, delivered his signature sadistic "Baka!" in a deep, commanding tone. The venue instantly erupted into a frenzy of excitement.
Regarding the film, Takei shared, "I felt that romance is busy but fulfilling, and it's really wonderful." Okura added, "It makes you laugh, makes your heart flutter, leaves you feeling a bit unsettled, but ultimately it's happy. It's a moving film."
