Mr. Contac Steps Up to Help Funassyi's Hay Fever!?
GlaxoSmithKline is currently running the "Help Funassyi with Mr. Contac! Sneeze SONG Project" as part of its promotion for the nasal spray "Contac 600 Plus."
The concept features Mr. Contac stepping up to cheer up Funassyi, the unofficial mascot of Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, who has developed hay fever. The project involves compiling "sneezing sounds" collected nationwide to create a "Sneezing Song" to support Funassyi.
On February 5th, a public recording session for this project took place, realizing a collaboration between Funassyi and Mr. Contac. This event was aired live on NicoNico Live.
While Mr. Contac got his take approved on the first try during the recording, Funassyi, eager to show his energy and enjoy the audience's reactions, only passed on his third attempt.
During their "sneezing challenge," Funassyi choked and rolled around after using pepper, while Mr. Contac delighted viewers by sneezing repeatedly.

The song wasn't completed during this recording session. Mr. Contac remarked, "We haven't made any progress at all!" Meanwhile, Funassyi expressed satisfaction about collaborating with Mr. Contac, saying, "It was so much fun! Please look forward to the song's completion!"
Recording for the Sneeze Song will continue. The special website ( http://contac.jp/2015bien/ ) is accepting submissions of sneeze sounds to be used in the track until February 28th.
