Dentsu Inc. Aegis Network mobilizes urgently for Nepal earthquake relief support

Nepal suffered devastating damage from a massive magnitude 7.8 earthquake on April 25. Deaths exceeded 8,000, injuries were roughly double that number, and tens of thousands lost their homes.

MERCY Malaysia, a Malaysian NPO active in volunteer work both domestically and internationally, also launched medical relief efforts. After witnessing the devastation firsthand, NPO members sought Ted Lim, CCO of Dentsu Inc. Aegis Network (DAN) Southeast Asia, for help raising donations to sustain relief operations. Lim has 20 years of experience working in Malaysia.
Responding to his call, creators from DAN offices in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia gathered to form a team. Within a week, they delivered a solution meeting MERCY Malaysia's needs.

The video "NEPAL RELIEF 2015" produced by DAN appeals to viewers to "turn things around" for Nepal. It encourages donations to the Malaysian people by replacing "7.8Mw (magnitude)" with "RM7.8 (7.8 Malaysian Ringgit, approx. ¥250)" to help turn Nepal's situation around.
The campaign is currently running online and will also be broadcast on television.
