D2C Inc. has determined the winners for the "Code Awards 2015," a comprehensive digital advertising and marketing award.
The awards recognized marketing communication cases implemented or launched between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015, utilizing various digital technologies. A panel of seven marketing specialists—including academics, creatives, and sales promotion experts—conducted rigorous judging, selecting a total of 13 works, including the Grand Prix and other awards.
The Grand Prix was awarded to "Yahoo! Trend Coaster" (Yahoo).
This work is a novel experiential attraction combining real-time search with virtual reality. The course generated from search result graphs represents the trend of shares on SNS and other platforms. It was evaluated as demonstrating one possible future form of the internet, not only visualizing big data but also allowing users to physically experience the data itself, leading to its Grand Prix win.
Other awards included: "Best Effective" for "TRUE LOVE TESTER" (Veriguri), "Best Innovation" for "Free Material Idol" (Staff Up), "Best Campaign" for "minikuLOVE ~Ex-Boyfriend BOX・Ex-Girlfriend BOX~" (Terada Warehouse), "Best Craft" went to "DRAWING PRE-VISUALIZATION / HONDA + OK GO: IWONTLETYOUDOWN.COM" (Honda Motor Co., Ltd.). "Free Material Idol" (Staff Up) was also selected as the "Public Best" through public voting, achieving a double win with Best Innovation.
The "Code Awards 2015 Presentation Ceremony," scheduled for July 16 at Space O in Omotesando Hills, will feature explanations of the winning works, the award presentation, and a panel discussion with the winning companies and judges.
