Preceding the Tokyo Motor Show Announcement Event Held (Video Available)

On October 10 and 11, preceding the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015 (October 29 - November 8), the event "Tokyo Motor Fest 2015 with Minmo" (Organized by the Tokyo Motor Show Executive Committee, Co-hosted by the Tokyo Waterfront Subcenter Urban Development Council, Supported by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and J-WAVE, Sponsored by Bridgestone).

This festival collaborated with "Minna no Motor Show" (commonly known as Minmo), an event produced by radio DJ Piston Nishizawa that combines cars, barbecue, and music to create a new play culture. Domestic and international automakers exhibited, offering a variety of experiential content enjoyable for a wide audience.

At the venue, a stage featured cars displayed on large screens while introducing their features and technology, along with driving demonstrations. Long lines formed for experiences like riding in cars driven by professional drivers for intense driving, a trial bike show by pro riders, personal mobility vehicle test drives, riding in 4WD vehicles tackling steep slopes and rough terrain, and trying out driver assistance systems. For children, activities included traffic safety classes, a corner where they could sit in a Formula car cockpit, and a corner where they could pretend to be trial riders. Additionally, the deck-up event for the police robot featured in the movie "THE NEXT GENERATION Patlabor: Capital Decisive Battle Director's Cut" drew attention with its imposing presence, standing at a full height of 10 meters when raised.

On the 11th, celebrity Terry Ito and members of AKB48's Team 8 visited as guests for a talk session. Terry discussed the appeal of the Tokyo Motor Show, while Team 8 members shared their dreams about car dates.

Part 2 of this festival will be held at Megaweb in Odaiba during the Tokyo Motor Show period.
