World Premiere of the "New BMW M4 GTS" Inheriting Motorsport DNA —BMW (TMS)
BMW Japan exhibited at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show (October 29 - November 8, Tokyo Big Sight), showcasing one model making its world debut and four models making their Asian debut.
The world premiere is the new model "New BMW M4 GTS," embodying unique technology. It inherits motorsport DNA, further enhancing the potential of the production "BMW M4 Coupe" to create a race-spec vehicle that can also be driven on public roads.
Its engine, featuring a water injection system, delivers a maximum output of 368 kW (500 hp). Thorough weight reduction has also been achieved.
The new BMW 7 Series makes its Asian debut. This sixth-generation luxury sedan incorporates innovative technologies, including a body structure utilizing carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) to optimize driving dynamics, long-distance comfort, and weight.
A diverse lineup of plug-in hybrid models, including the "New BMW X5 xDrive40e," is on display. BMW Group's eDrive technology delivers the "joy of driving electrically."
Also on display are production vehicles like the premium sports car "BMW i8," equipped with a plug-in hybrid system.
