It also features a plug-in hybrid drive unit combining a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with an electric motor, delivering a powerful system output of 540 kW (734 PS) while keeping fuel consumption low. The Audi R18 e-tron quattro is a sports prototype racing car that has competed in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Since its debut in 2012, it has achieved notable successes, including three consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It continues to evolve annually, with the 2015 model featuring improvements over the previous year's version, including enhancements to aerodynamics and the hybrid system. The engine produces approximately 410 kW (558 hp), forming a hybrid drive system alongside an electric motor that boosts output to over 200 kW (272 hp). Despite its complex mechanisms, total weight is kept to 870 kg. Improvements focus primarily on technologies intended for feedback to production vehicles.
