Dentsu Inc. Participates Again in Southeast Asia's Largest Japanese Pop Culture Event "Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2015"

Dentsu Inc. has decided to invest again in the Japanese pop culture event "Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2015," held in Singapore from November 27 to 29. Building on the event's success last year in mobilizing 90,000 attendees as a source of Japanese content, Dentsu Inc. will leverage its cultivated expertise, relationships, and overseas network to further disseminate Japanese culture and enhance the presence of Japanese companies and content creators. Furthermore, in collaboration with Pixiv Inc., operator of Japan's leading illustration SNS "pixiv," Dentsu will implement PR campaigns featuring the creator idol group "Niji no Conquistador" and digital initiatives utilizing SNS. This aims to further increase event awareness and attract visitors.

Furthermore, the company will collaborate with co-investor SOZO, which introduces Japanese pop culture and content locally, and Zepp Live, which plans and produces events, to enhance the event's value.

Launched in 2008 primarily by Dentsu Singapore, a subsidiary of the company, this event features screenings of the latest anime, talk shows with voice actors, concerts by Japanese idols, fashion shows, and other programs designed to capture the interests of local youth. Furthermore, leveraging the digital landscape in both the local region and Japan for promotional activities has led to a steady increase in attendance each year, developing it into one of Southeast Asia's largest Japanese pop culture events.

In November 2013, Dentsu Inc. launched the cross-departmental "Team Cool Japan" project to strengthen support for Cool Japan-related initiatives. By participating in this event as part of those activities, Dentsu Inc. aims to promote travel to Japan, support the expansion of Japanese companies and content into Southeast Asia, and create opportunities for test marketing and youth-oriented communication locally.
