Ping Golf Japan Large-scale golf practice facility opens in Roppongi "Big Brother" also makes an appearance at the opening
PING Golf Japan is hosting the "PING G Fest!" golf event at Roppongi Hills Arena in Minato Ward, Tokyo, from March 16 to 20, to commemorate the launch of PING's latest model, the "G Series." The venue features the large, free "G Stadium" practice range, approximately 8 meters high and 30 meters wide. Aiming to spark interest among a wide audience—from beginners and families to golf enthusiasts—amid concerns about a future decline in golf participation, the event offers numerous programs designed for all skill levels.

At the opening event on the first day, Vice President Kenji Okada stated, "Our product development philosophy is to create clubs that enable every golfer, from beginners to top professionals, to perform at their absolute best. With the cooperation of our sponsoring companies, we aimed to make this event enjoyable for a diverse audience. We hope everyone experiences the fun and depth of golf."
Following this, the five PING-contracted pros participating in the event—Kenji Horio, Manabu Nakai, Makoto Onodera, Aiko Ueno, and Yumi Katsumata—were introduced. They shared their aspirations: "I want to give lessons worthy of this fantastic practice facility," "I hope juniors and women enjoy it too," and "I want everyone to experience unlimited hitting with PING's latest models."

Actor Sho Aikawa, who supports the event, took the stage as a special guest.
Aikawa, known as a huge golf enthusiast, practices his swing 300 times every morning and boasts a best score of 79. Dressed in PING apparel, he expressed his fondness, saying, "The fabric feels appealing to outdoor types. I'm going with black for this year's wear." Regarding the G Stadium, he joked, "I want one at home!" He gave high praise to the latest G Series clubs, saying, "The ball feels like it 'grabs' the club, giving a sense of security." Having already played 17 or 18 rounds this year, Aikawa shared his philosophy: "Both acting and golf require more than just superficial skill." When presented with a G Series caddy bag and full set, he passionately discussed the series' features and tips for improving one's golf game, using animated gestures to showcase his "big brother" persona.

The event features unlimited play on G Series machines, pro lessons, talk shows, and events for juniors and ladies. Following the Roppongi event, trial sessions are scheduled at 100 venues nationwide.
