The amazing mechanical device is a must-see! Seiko's brand MV "Art of Time"

Seiko Holdings has released the brand music video "Art of Time" on its official YouTube channel, themed around the group slogan "SEIKO moves the times and hearts." The title embodies the desire to "offer people rich moments by setting music to time."

The video's protagonist is a looped Rube Goldberg machine—a contraption that sets off a chain reaction of mechanisms to perform a final task—built using approximately 1,200 actual mechanical watch parts and watchmaking tools. The sheer beauty of the intricate mechanisms and devices, utilizing parts as small as 0.7mm, is breathtaking. Another highlight is the seamless interplay between these contraptions and the delicate fingertips of the watchmaker appearing as part of the device.

The image song featured in the video, "Seiko: Moving Times and Hearts," was composed by CEO Shinji Hattori himself, with lyrics gathered from employees. It is sung by artist Etsuko Yakushimaru. The beautiful visuals and music synchronize perfectly. With a total filming time of three days and 70 hours, this video is a work of art about "time" and is well worth watching.

The special website ( http://www.seiko.co.jp/artoftime/ ) allows viewing of the full video and behind-the-scenes footage, along with the full version of the image song.
