In 2015, the "Make March 11th a 'Day of Connection'" project was launched. It originated from a call by Haruo Miyagi, Representative Director of the NPO ETIC., who stated: "Let's preserve in a positive way the events that spread throughout Japan and engaged the world following the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11th. Let's keep this alive forever as something relevant to everyone. "
On March 20, the "311 'Connecting Day' Project" booth was exhibited at "HAPPY DAY TOKYO 2016" (hosted by the HAPPY DAY PROJECT Executive Committee ) in Hibiya Park, Tokyo, with support from Benesse Holdings. Under the themes "Connect with Tohoku" and "Connect with the World," the booth featured collaborative exhibitions and product sales with diverse organizations.

At the booth, visitors wrote their own "Connect" messages and posted them on a board. In the "Connect with Tohoku" corner, products were displayed by the Otsuchi Recovery Sashiko Project from Otsuchi Town, Iwate Prefecture; WATALIS from Watari Town, Miyagi Prefecture; IIE from Aizubange Town, Fukushima Prefecture, and the Iwaki Oten Sun Project from Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. The All Japan Imoni Association, aiming to spread Tohoku's imoni culture, also introduced its activities.
The "Connect with the World" corner featured the Earth Caravan, which travels globally praying for world peace, and Syrian Hand, which supports Syrian women by selling handmade products.

On stage, artist "AERIAL" performed "Let's Hold Hands," the theme song of the "Make 3/11 a Day of Connection" group. Responding to the call to "create new connections," approximately 200 attendees joined hands, forming a large circle around the fountain.
