On July 29, Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. signed a Tokyo 2020 sponsorship agreement with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, becoming an Official Partner.
The contract category is "Facility Construction & Housing Development."
President Naotake Ohno commented: "Guided by our fundamental stance of 'Creating Together. Living Together.,' we aim to realize a society rich in human spirit not only through our diverse business activities—including detached houses, rental housing, condominiums, renovations, and the construction of commercial, logistics, and business facilities—but also through sports promotion and cultural activities. We will continue to fully support the Games' success through various initiatives."
The company has supported the Japanese Olympic Team as an Official Partner of the Japanese Olympic Committee since 2009 and has backed numerous sports activities.
Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori stated, "Since its founding in 1955, the company has achieved results in various fields of the construction and real estate industry, such as being among the first to provide industrialized housing to the market. Having them as a partner is very encouraging for the success of the Games."
