Ezaki Glico held a "Cafe au Lait Day" PR event at the Jiji Press Hall in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, on August 1st. The date was chosen because August 1st falls exactly halfway between June 1st (Milk Day) and October 1st (Coffee Day), reflecting the 50:50 milk-to-coffee ratio of their long-selling product "Cafe au Lait," launched in 1979.

The event featured appearances by TV commercial stars Trindle Reina and Robert's Akiyama Ryuji. After taking a sip, Trindle smiled and remarked, "It really is delicious. I'm surprised all over again by how good it tastes." She then commented on the product's appeal, saying, "You can find it practically everywhere on set, and I often drink it at home when I crave something sweet."
Akiyama, who reportedly tanned his skin to a "café au lait color" for the occasion, stated, "'Café au lait' is the most important liquid in the world. It's great because it helps ease my nerves when I'm tense before a live show. Plus, drinking it with family softens the mood." Trindle responded enthusiastically, "Wonderful! I'm moved that 'Café au lait' helps families relax!"

Finally, in line with Café au Lait's concept "3pm, a moment to unwind," Akiyama performed an illusion impersonation—an evolved version of his T-shirt body impersonation—and even a Café au Lait impersonation, aimed at office ladies who often accumulate stress. Trindl couldn't help but burst into laughter. Watching Akiyama's string of performances, Trindl—who was already "taking a break" while drinking Café au Lait—became even more relaxed.
Ezaki Glico's "Drink and Win! 3 O'Clock Relaxation♪ Campaign" runs until August 31st. Collect the required number of entry coupons from eligible products and enter for a chance to win one of 3,333 prizes, including a BIG cloud-shaped cushion and other "relaxation" goods and experiences.
