The World Marketing Summit Japan 2016 Executive Committee held the "World Marketing Summit Japan 2016" at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Minato Ward, Tokyo, on October 11 and 12.
This summit is an international conference where representatives from international organizations, government, and corporate researchers gather to discuss marketing that drives social and economic development. This year's main theme was "Marketing in Advanced Nations," and this marks the final time the event will be held in Japan.
In his opening remarks, Takuya Goto, Chairman of the Japan Marketing Association, stated, "I expect this summit to be even more substantial than last year's. I hope you will apply the insights gained here to your practical work."

In the keynote address, Professor Philip Kotler of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management discussed the economic and marketing challenges Japan faces, as well as the fundamental nature of marketing itself. Following this, Kozo Takaoka, President and CEO of Nestlé Japan, presented on how Nestlé is pursuing new marketing approaches in the challenging Japanese market, focusing on the company's initiatives.

The summit concluded successfully after being divided into nine sessions, including "Value Creation" and "Experience Value Marketing."
