Christmas is all about sharing Nuggets! Chicken McNuggets Christmas Campaign

McDonald's Japan held a press conference for its "Chicken McNuggets Christmas Campaign" on December 19 at its comprehensive research facility in Tokyo.

Attending were the campaign's image characters, comedy duo Maple Chogokin's Natsu Ando and Kaz Laser, along with the Phantom Thief Nuggets, who struck the "Nuggets!" pose by raising both thumbs and index fingers.

Starting December 7th, the company is offering a limited-time promotion: the popular Chicken McNuggets side menu now includes Creamy Cheese Sauce and Fruit Curry Sauce. The "Chicken McNuggets 15-Piece (with 3 Sauces)" is available at a special price of 390 yen.

Furthermore, for three days only from December 23rd to 25th, a 30-piece set (two packs of 15 pieces) will be sold at a special price of 750 yen, a 33% discount.

When Ando and Kazureza took the stage at the venue, Kazureza joked, "You could say McDonald's raised me. Barbecue sauce was my substitute for powdered milk. It's no exaggeration to call it my mother's taste," emphasizing his love for Chicken McNuggets.

Regarding his trademark all-red outfit and blonde hair, he commented deadpan, "It's McDonald's cosplay," then engaged in a lighthearted exchange with Donald, whose yellow outfit and red hair create the opposite color scheme.

When Ando mentioned, "Lately, I've been eating nothing but Chicken McNuggets. Surprisingly healthy," Kaz Laser immediately shot back, "That's not convincing," drawing laughter from the audience.

Right after Maple Chogokin's duo lit up the "Nuggetree" – a Christmas tree decorated with limited-edition Chicken McNugget packaging – the mysterious sauce hunter and unparalleled nugget lover, Phantom Thief Nuggets, appeared.

Maple Chogokin and Phantom Thief Nuggets battled for the title of true mascot in the "Phantom Thief Nuggets Game." Phantom Thief Nuggets suffered a crushing defeat, granting Maple Chogokin the right to sample Chicken McNuggets.

Watching the two taste the nuggets with the limited-edition sauce, exclaiming "Delicious!" and "I could eat a ton of these!", Phantom Thief Nuggets looked on with envy. Commenting on his lack of a spotlight moment, he said, "My heart is chicken, so it's gone up," and concluded with his signature line, "Phantom Thief~, Nuggets!" and "that" pose hinting at his true identity.
