On November 25, Dentsu Inc. announced the launch of its cross-company project "Team Cool Japan," aimed at strengthening support for "Cool Japan" initiatives that promote products and services leveraging Japanese culture and strengths overseas. Dentsu Inc. has invested in the Overseas Demand Development Support Organization (Cool Japan Organization), which began full-scale operations the same day.
The Dentsu Group has previously supported Cool Japan initiatives by governments, companies, and organizations, while also actively promoting projects as a project leader. The launch of Team Cool Japan will further strengthen these activities. By deepening collaboration with the Cool Japan Organization, the group will promote matching support between national strategic projects and initiatives driven by companies and organizations, as well as inter-company collaboration. This will contribute to the early realization of the government's "Cool Japan Strategy," the rebuilding of the Japan brand, and enhancing the international competitiveness of Japanese companies.
Team Cool Japan is currently considering three support initiatives for companies:
① Support for Large Corporations: Business development and product/service creation in national strategic fields such as "Agriculture," "Education," "Science & Technology," "Healthcare," and "Infrastructure." Strategic demand creation through collaboration with media and content companies.
② SME Support: Building communities where SME executives and experts can exchange information on overseas expansion. Providing Dentsu Inc.'s regional networks and marketing expertise, know-how, and technology. Collaborating with regional banks to offer new marketing services that integrate local areas with national/global markets and online/offline channels.
③ Media and Content Company Support = Pioneering and developing new content that bolsters national and corporate brand strategies. Building platforms that support global communications for nations and companies. Developing new media and content for retail spaces through collaboration with overseas distributors.
