Glico Seventeen Ice Cyber Vending Machine Evolves!

Ezaki Glicoheld a PR event for"Seventeen Ice"at Shibuya MODY in Tokyo onJune 28.
The company is launching a campaign centered around a special vending machine (Cyber Vender) to encourage more people to enjoy Seventeen Ice. The Cyber Vender allows users to dance along with silhouettes displayed on its screen and take photos using original photo frames.

The new Cyber Vender, developed in collaboration with Takahiro Nishijima, the main vocalist ofthe performance group " AAA (Triple A)"who has served as the brand's image character since 2015, will be installed sequentially at six locations nationwide. Various other content can also be enjoyed at regular vending machines.

Attending the venue,Nishijimadiscussedthe campaign song "17th Kiss," explaining it was created with motifs like "seventeen," "kiss," and ice cream flavors. He described it as a song about the bittersweet memories of youth and holding onto that youthful spirit even as one ages. He also mentioned, "The dance choreography for the vending machine was done by Papaya Suzuki, and I think it's easy to dance and enjoyable." Talent Yumi Okada appeared on stage in a school uniform as a guest experiencing the Cyber Vending Machine. The 17-year-old Okada declared, "I haven't had much experience with dancing before, but I want to give it my all today."

After purchasing ice cream and selecting "Try Dancing," the experience began. A ranking appeared based on how well the user synchronized their dance with the on-screen moves. Accessing a QR code allowed streaming the video on smartphones or other devices.
Okada danced adorably but received only one star. "I practiced a lot during work breaks," she said, yet
herface beamed with joy over the fun cyber experience. She also used the vending machine's photo feature to take a two-shot with Nishijima.
At general vendors nationwide, scanning the QR code lets you see Nishijima's eight different poses. Completing them unlocks a special video. Additionally, scanning the logo of purchased ice cream grants you limited-edition photo stamps that change seasonally.

When Okada mentioned her 17-year-old summer wish—"to wear a newly made yukata and go to a fireworks festival with friends"—Nishijima lightened the mood by saying, "If I could go back to being 17, I'd confess to Okada and create wonderful summer memories." Okada, who often eats SEVENTEEN ICE, made everyone laugh by saying, "I spend so much time deciding which flavor to get that my break time ends." She showed her "expert" side by adding, "My favorite flavors are matcha and soda float; I choose based on my mood at the time." Nishijima also mentioned "chocolate mint in the morning" and "grape after a bath," sparking lively ice cream talk. The two shared messages: "Dancing with friends doubles the fun. Everyone, live your youth!" and "Along with delicious ice cream, make great memories through dancing and photos."
