On "Chocola BB Day" A 65th-anniversary event was held.

Eisai held the "Chocola BB 65th Anniversary PR Event" at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo in Meguro Ward on August 8. This date coincides with "Chocola BB Day," established three years ago.
Chocola BB, which supports women's beauty and vitality, was launched in 1952 as a treatment for skin and mucous membrane disorders to address vitamin B2 deficiencies during the post-war food shortage. The name originates from the founder's idea to create a cola drink using chocolate, for which this trademark was prepared.

Executive Officer Shohei Kanazawa stated, "Since its launch, Chocola has been loved across generations by evolving to meet women's needs. We aim to continue growing as a 100-year brand." Ayako Kohama of the Consumer hhc Division introduced the brand's history and its advertising reflecting the times, noting the brand offers 18 series products addressing nutritional supplementation, fatigue care, and skin troubles. "We adapt to the changing environment surrounding women and meet a wide range of needs. It's a brand supporting women throughout their lives," she explained.

Actresses Hiromi Nagasaku and Yuko Araki, currently appearing in the TV commercials, joined Yumiko Takahashi, who starred in commercials aired from 1994 to 1998, on stage. Nagasaku wore a dress matching her current commercial outfit, Araki sported 1950s-style fashion, and Takahashi appeared in a nostalgic suit, a remake of her original commercial costume from that era.
Regarding the 65th anniversary, Nagasaku commented, "I'm amazed it has maintained its top brand status for so long. I hope Chocola continues to be a brand for women."

The conversation among the three women ranged from the 1950s when Chocola was first launched to the 1996 commercial featuring Takahashi titled "Skin Trouble Vacation." Takahashi shared behind-the-scenes details about her unconventionally un-actress-like expressions in the commercial: "It was unprecedented. The production team actually asked me, 'Are you sure this is okay?'" She added with a laugh, "But my friends told me, 'That's just like you normally.'" Regarding the famous CM line, "Today, I'm taking a break from skin troubles," Nagasaku remarked with admiration, "I remember it well. Their stance of supporting working women hasn't changed."

To commemorate its 65th anniversary, the company released the video "#SparklingMe." It showcases women's "sparkling moments," widely shared on social media, alongside scenes from popular Instagram hashtags. Viewers can see the various creative efforts women make to capture these moments.

Inspired by this, the three on stage tried their hand at "selfies." Nagasaku and Takahashi succeeded despite their unaccustomed movements. Finally, led by Araki, the three posed together for a photo.
At the end of the event, the trio shared messages: "As working women, we'll keep striving alongside Chocola," and "Life has its ups and downs. When things get tough, drink Chocola and recharge your energy."
The special website ( https://www.chocola.com/about/history/ ) features the commemorative video and details on two "65th Anniversary Thank You Campaigns" offering chances to win luxurious prizes.
