The Osaka Castle Park Management Consortium opened "MIRAIZA OSAKA-JO" on October 19th. This complex facility, utilizing historical buildings, is located within Osaka Castle Park in Chuo Ward, Osaka City. This facility renovates the 86-year-old "Former Fourth Division Headquarters Building" (formerly the Osaka City Museum) in the Honmaru Plaza. It features seven shops, including restaurants serving French and Italian cuisine and souvenir shops, targeting both local residents and foreign tourists. Next spring, a terrace restaurant offering barbecue on the previously inaccessible rooftop will also open.

The name Miraiza embodies the wish that "this place will become a hub for Osaka's culture and entertainment, shaping the city's future." The logo mark arranges the initial "M" to express a bright future for Osaka Castle.
The opening ceremony was attended by Osaka Mayor Hirofumi Yoshimura and many other officials who gathered to celebrate the opening.
Osaka Castle's main tower surpassed 100 million cumulative visitors on September 18th this year, since its opening in 1931. Last fiscal year saw 2.55 million visitors, setting a new record for the second consecutive year. Osaka Castle Park also saw the opening of the commercial facility "JO-TERRACE OSAKA" in June this year. With the addition of MIRAIZA OSAKA-JO, further growth in visitor numbers is anticipated.
