Earth Chemical Co., Ltd. signed a Tokyo 2020 Sponsorship Agreement with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games on October 27, becoming an Official Partner.
The contract category is "household insecticides, insect repellents, fertilizers, potting soil, and herbicides."
As an Official Partner, Earth has rights related to the Japanese national team for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, including the Tokyo Games, through the end of December 2020, such as the use of titles and marks.
President Katsuyoshi Kawabata commented, "Our company has sincerely focused on realizing people's health and comfortable living, providing high-quality products, and growing alongside society. Under the slogan 'Earth will protect you this summer of 2020 too,' we aim to contribute to the Games by working on prevention awareness for insect-borne infectious diseases."
Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori stated, "It is very reassuring that Earth, with its high technological capabilities representing Japan, will contribute to the success of the Games during the hot summer."
