The National Association of Commercial Broadcasters in Japan (NACB) announced its broadcast schedule for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, taking place in Russia from June 14 to July 15.
All 64 matches will be broadcast live by commercial broadcasters and NHK. Of these, commercial broadcasters will air 32 matches live on terrestrial TV.
Terrestrial broadcasters will air 24 matches during the group stage, including Japan's games. From the Round of 16 onwards, they will broadcast 8 matches, including the "Semifinals" and "Third-Place Playoff."
Additionally, numerous special pre-tournament programs, along with daily and weekly highlight shows, will be scheduled to convey the excitement and appeal of the World Cup.
Furthermore, for this tournament, live broadcasts and highlights will be streamed on the commercial broadcasters' official TV portal "TVer" ( https://tver.jp/ ) so viewers can enjoy the World Cup online.
