Narita International Airport and Japan Airport Building Corporation signed a sponsorship agreement with the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee on February 22, becoming Official Partners of Tokyo 2020.
The contract category is "Airport Services."
Narita International Airport President Makoto Natsume commented, "As Japan's gateway for the 2020 Games, we are advancing initiatives to ensure athletes, officials, and spectators can use the airport safely, smoothly, and comfortably. Through these efforts and by fostering enthusiasm at the airport, we will contribute to the Games' success."
Nobuaki Yokota, President of Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd., commented, "It is an honor to contribute to the Games as a partner, leveraging our extensive experience of over 60 years managing and operating Haneda Airport's passenger terminals. We aim to become an 'easy-to-understand, user-friendly airport' by further enhancing our universal design."
Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori commented, "Through both airports, which serve as Japan's front door for the Tokyo Games, we hope the first impression for people from around the world visiting Japan in 2020 will be wonderful. We expect the safe, secure, and uniquely airport hospitality to leave a lasting memory. We are pleased that the coexistence of both airports, while further enhancing Japan's unique high-quality services, will foster an 'All-Japan spirit'."
