On January 13th, Danone Japan held "Danone Japan: Satisfaction! Bio - Yasuko Mitsuura's Journey to Spa Resort Hawaiians - Hula Girl Debut!" at Spa Resort Hawaiians, a famous hot spring resort in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, known for its hula dance shows. Ms. Mitsuura performed a hula dance with six members of the resort's dancing team.
This event was part of the company's "Satisfied! Bio" campaign for its yogurt "Danone Bio." Inspired by Ms. Mitsuura's appearance in a Danone Bio commercial wearing a hula girl costume, she made a one-day debut as a hula girl at Spa Resort Hawaiians. A web video titled "Danone Bio: Mitsuura's Journey to Spa Resort Hawaiians," showing her practice sessions and debut, is available on a special website.
When Mitsuura appeared in her hula dance makeup and costume, the venue erupted in murmurs and loud applause.
Ms. Mitsuura shared her thoughts: "I didn't mess up the dance, but I was incredibly nervous. If I had to give myself a score this time, it would be 80 points. The dance was good, but my face was tense, which cost me 20 points. I want to keep taking hula dance lessons from now on."
