Dentsu Inc. Develops "Fitbit Inner Activation Program" to Support Corporate Health Management

Supporting improved employee exercise habits, sleep quality, and enhanced corporate communication

Dentsu Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshihiro Yamamoto), in cooperation with Fitbit Japan LLC (※1) (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Country General Manager: Tomoyasu Chigawara), has developed the "Fitbit Inner Activation Program." This program utilizes activity data from employees' fitness wearable devices to support health management initiatives.

This program was developed against a backdrop of growing awareness around work-style reform and sleep duration, along with expanding demand for internal corporate communication driven by changing relationships between companies and employees.

As part of our 'Vitality Design Project' (*2), we have actually implemented Fitbit (*3). By combining insights gained from its use with the expertise cultivated by our in-house specialized organization 'Dentsu Inc. Business Design Square,' which supports innovation creation for client companies, we developed this program to contribute to health management and invigorate internal corporate communication.

The "Fitbit Inner Activation Program" utilizes Fitbit devices, which track daily activities, sleep duration, heart rate, and more, along with "Fitbit Group Health" to aggregate employee activity data. Through a dedicated app, it facilitates participation in various fitness communities, contributes to increasing exercise habits and improving sleep quality, and more. Furthermore, it facilitates the implementation of digital events to promote health management, such as invigorating internal corporate communication, enabling information exchange and community building between multiple companies, and organizing competitions like average step counts.

Moving forward, we will provide a one-stop service through this program to support health management and invigorate both internal and external communication.
