Kirin Brewery and Glico Collaborate "Hyoketsu loves Ice no Mi" Released

Kirin Brewery and Ezaki Glico jointly developed the collaboration product "Hyoketsu loves Aisunomi" (350ml can, 500ml can), combining the canned chuhai "Hyoketsu" and the sherbet "Aisunomi". It will be released for a limited time starting May 21.

A media tasting event was held at Kirin Holdings in Nakano Ward, Tokyo, on the 15th, one week before the launch.

At the start, Takayuki Narikiyo, Brand Manager of Kirin Brewery's Marketing Department, stated, "Hikyū aims to challenge new frontiers beyond the boundaries of chuhai, seeking to deliver deliciousness and enjoyment." He introduced the new product as "a miraculous collaboration between two brands dedicated to the deliciousness of fruit juice: Hikyū, featuring fresh and refreshing straight juice, and Ice no Mi, packed with rich, juicy fruit pulp." He also explained the product development impetus: "We noticed customers posting on social media about enjoying Hikyū poured into glasses with Ice no Mi added, drawn by its visual appeal and deliciousness. This provided us with development inspiration."

Ms. Mizuhō Wakao of Ezaki Glico's Marketing Division stated, "Since its launch in 1986, Ice no Mi has been continuously renewed over 32 years to meet the needs of each era. With this collaboration, we aim to propose new value while leveraging both brands' strengths: fruit juice and fruit."

"Hikkyu loves Ice no Mi" comes in three flavors: grape, peach, and melon. It delivers the rich, juicy fruit juice sensation reminiscent of Ice no Mi while also achieving the refreshing, clean aftertaste characteristic of Hikkyu.
Both brands propose a new way to enjoy the product: adding "chase fruit" – ice cubes shaped like fruit – to a glass before pouring Hikyū over them.
"Oi Kajitsu" not only offers visual appeal but also allows you to enjoy the changing taste as the melted ice fruit gradually enhances the juiciness.

At the tasting event, attendees were seen enjoying the "fruit topping" by combining Hyoketsu flavors with the fruit-shaped ice.
