Amid growing public interest fueled by international events prioritizing SDGs, such as the G20 Osaka Summit and the decision to host the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, the 'SDGs MOOK' was published by Asahi Shimbun Publications on June 20. This MOOK was planned and operated primarily by The Asahi Shimbun and Dentsu Inc. Kansai Branch, produced with planning cooperation and supervision from the Kansai SDGs Platform, the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Kansai. It introduces how companies, organizations, and educational institutions in the Kansai region are engaging with the SDGs, while also offering readers hints on how they can contribute from their own positions towards realizing a sustainable society by 2030 and beyond.

The opening features interviews with news anchor Yuko Kuniya and Kaoru Nemoto, Director of the United Nations Information Centre. Special Feature 1, "14 People Leading the SDGs in the 2020s," focusing on the Osaka/Kansai World Expo decision, includes Masayoshi Matsumoto, Chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation, Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Hiroshi Ozaki, and other top figures from the Kansai business community. Also featured are leaders promoting SDGs within companies and organizations, including Miyabi Haneda of Yoshimoto Kogyo, Satoshi Takeyasu of Panasonic, Miki Kotani of Sekisui House, and Kyoko Nishino of JICA Kansai, who share their activities and perspectives. Special Feature 2: "Companies Advancing Toward SDG Achievement" highlights initiatives by Hitachi Zosen, Art Corporation, NTN, and Saraya.
