"NIKKEI National Company Song Contest" Held Grand Prize Goes to Karaoke Streaming!

The Nikkei Inc. is holding the "NIKKEI National Company Song Contest" (Special Cooperation: JOYSOUND (XING) / Cooperation: HANJO HANJO, monopo, School of Passion / Sponsored by: Epson Direct / Supported by: All Japan Manufacturing Spinning Top Battle Association). The contest invites companies nationwide to submit videos of their heartfelt company songs, with the winner determined by public vote.

 

In recent years, "company songs" have gained momentum, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises and startups. Their effectiveness in revitalizing organizations, boosting sales, and recruiting talent has been recognized. Major corporations are commissioning famous musicians to create new company songs, and contests like this one have been held for two consecutive years. This surge likely stems from the current reality where the shrinking workforce, the era of job-hopping, and work-style reforms are demanding changes in how companies and organizations operate.

 

Submissions are accepted until October 31. During the contest period, entries will be published on the official website ( https://shaka.nikkei.co.jp/ ). Public voting will be open from November 8 to 29 (tentative).
The Grand Prize winner will be decided by public vote. Additionally, the judges—singer-songwriter Ai Kawashima, Xing President Yasushi Mizutani, Kenji Midorikawa (Honorary Advisor, All Japan Manufacturing Spinning Top Battle Association), and writer/journalist Masazumi Yumikari—will select four Judges' Awards.
Judging criteria include: "Does it convey the company's message?", "Does it convey the company's appeal?", and "Is it music that resonates with the heart?".

Results will be announced on December 4, with an awards ceremony held later that month.
Each award winner will be featured in a Nikkei newspaper special section and receive a certificate of commendation. Furthermore, the Grand Prize-winning song will be distributed for karaoke singing at JOYSOUND locations nationwide.
