"Coca-Cola" Ribbon Bottle Little Glee Monster Delivers a Splendid Mini-Live
On November 19, Coca-Cola Japan held a Christmas mini-live performance by the popular female vocal group Little Glee Monster (Litguri) at Futakotamagawa Rise Galleria in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo.
The company has been running a winter campaign since October centered around its "Ribbon Bottle," now in its fourth year of release. Little Glee Monster's new song "Tie a Ribbon on My Love" serves as the CM song for the new TV commercial featuring the Ribbon Bottle.
The Ribbon Bottle features a label that peels off to reveal tape that unfurls into a festive ribbon. This special edition offers perks like listening to Little Glee Monster's Christmas song.
The venue, set against a large Christmas tree backdrop, was packed with approximately 260 invited guests selected through prior applications. As the members appeared, drawing cheers from passersby who stopped to watch, they performed "We Wish a Merry Christmas" – one of the bonus tracks – with beautiful harmonies, energizing the crowd.
To listen to songs via the ribbon bottle, users enter the number printed on the label's tape into the official website and select their desired track. The selection includes five songs total: new releases and Christmas songs performed by the members. Beyond the new songs, each track offers both a full group version and individual solo parts for each member.
Karen revealed they all listened to MAYU's part together, while Serina shared a way to enjoy it: "Gather with friends and play all five members' parts at once—it feels like you're singing in chorus."
This year's ribbon bottles also feature a gift lottery with prizes like original ice cakes and LINE Points. Upon seeing the ice cakes, the members were thrilled to hear they would be delivered to their dressing room after the live show.
When the five members performed the new CM song live for the first time, the audience listened intently to their voices. With a shout of "Merry Christmas!", members and audience toasted with Coca-Cola.
The members expressed, "Today was truly wonderful. We hope everyone enjoys the ribbon bottles and our music on Christmas Day too." They concluded by presenting "Joy to the World," enveloping the venue in an early Christmas atmosphere.
