The Japan Sports Council (JSC) announced on December 9 additional details regarding the event "National Stadium Opening Event ~HELLO, OUR STADIUM~" (December 21: Sponsored by ASICS Japan, Japan Coca-Cola, JR East, Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical, NTT Group, Japan Airlines, Panasonic, The Asahi Shimbun, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Google, Reconstruction Agency, The Yomiuri Shimbun).
Previously, the event's content was described as comprising three themes: "Sports," "Music," and "Culture." Details revealed so far include the "ONE RACE" event, where renowned athletes from Japan and abroad form specially mixed teams transcending able-bodied/disabled and gender boundaries; live performances by DREAMS COME TRUE and Arashi; a performance by the taiko drumming group "Kodo"; and a special dance performance by the "Tohoku Kizuna Festival."

Newly announced details include professional soccer player Kazuyoshi Miura taking on the major role of stepping onto the pitch (turf) for the first time on the day. The 24 athletes participating in "ONE RACE" have been finalized. Freelance announcer Rio Hirai will serve as the event MC, and Shuzo Matsuoka will energize the venue as a special supporter.
ONE RACE will feature four teams of six athletes each. The race will consist of six 200-meter legs, totaling 1,200 meters. A specially designed circular baton will be used.
Additionally, outside the stadium, the outer grounds will feature a food court, along with sponsor booths selling beverages and merchandise, offering samples, and providing experience booths.
At the Meiji Jingu Gaien Softball Grounds adjacent to the stadium, the celebratory event " OUR SPORTS DAY " (hosted by the JPF Executive Committee) will be held in conjunction with the National Stadium opening event.
Attendees can experience track trial runs, stage events, performances by local groups, and sports experience classes. Food and beverages will also be sold from food trucks. This event is accessible without an Opening Event ticket.
