New "Craft Boss" TV Commercial Three Unique New Hires Join the Team, Creating One Team (Making-of video available)

Suntory Beverage & Food International launched a new lineup, "Craft Boss Specialty Light Sugar," in its "Craft Boss" coffee beverage series on March 3. The new TV commercial, "New Wind Blend," began airing on the same day.
Under the concept "A new wind has blown," the "Craft Boss" series proposes a new style of drinking, savoring it slowly during work or other times.
The series' commercials feature Masato Sakai, working in an IT company office, encountering "new winds" – statements and actions that defy traditional work styles and values, such as telework, installing a ping-pong table, a company-wide folk dance, and introducing a kotatsu. These are portrayed by a cast of distinctive characters.

The new commercial features regular cast members Masato Sakai, Ryo Narita, Hana Sugisaki, and Tommy Lee Jones, alongside three newcomers: sociologist Noritoshi Furuichi, comedian Ringo-chan, and actor Kokoro Terada.

Despite being new hires, these three stand out immediately. They conduct themselves with confidence and poise during meetings and discussions, speaking their minds bluntly and stating sound arguments without hesitation. Sakai experiences a mild shock upon witnessing their overly distinctive personalities and actions. However, he comes to understand that a group can become special when people of varying ages, genders, appearances, and personalities blend together—when their abilities are skillfully drawn out and they work in harmony.
Craft Boss Specialty Lightly Sweetened blends five distinctively unique coffees to achieve a special flavor.

A scene where Apple-chan, who was sweetly chatting with a colleague saying "No way, but...", suddenly switches to a deep voice declaring "Who cares about online backlash?", or where Kokoro gently admonishes a senior employee saying "We're not children, so let's stop throwing tantrums", Furuichi-san pointing out, "The manager's opinion is correct, but it's not interesting at all," and the scene where the three of them, wearing matching rugby jerseys and seemingly united as one team, pass work back and forth to each other are hilarious.
