The Japan Commercial Broadcasters Association Radio Committee announced on March 6 that it will broadcast a special program featuring Keisuke Kuwata as part of this year's "WE LOVE RADIO" joint project by 101 commercial radio stations.
"WE LOVE RADIO" is a campaign launched in 2017 to promote the appeal of radio.
Originally, a live event featuring Mr. Kuwata was planned for Tohoku, with the performance to be broadcast as a special program across 101 commercial radio stations. However, the live event was canceled in light of recent circumstances.
Therefore, the federation decided to broadcast the emergency special program "WE LOVE RADIO, WE LOVE MUSIC: Keisuke Kuwata's Home RADIO ~ SMILE with Radio Especially Now ~ supported by SUUMO". The special will air from March 20th to 22nd (broadcast dates and times vary by station).
The federation stated that precisely because many people are refraining from going out and feeling anxious right now, they want to deliver entertainment everyone can enjoy at home via radio.
Kuwata will appear via telecommuting and perform live songs. A special program website ( https://weloveradio.jp/ ) will open on the same day, accepting messages for Kuwata and the program.
