The peak rating in the same region hit 23.1% just before Yuzuru Hanyu secured the gold medal, an unusually high figure for late-night programming.

Meanwhile, the average viewership rating for the men's individual large hill ski jumping event, broadcast by NHK starting in the early hours of February 16, was 9.2% (Kanto region) between 4:30 AM and 5:00 AM. The peak instant rating was 10.2%, just before Noriaki Kasai secured the silver medal.
