Yuzuru Hanyu Gold in TV ratings too?

Video Research Ltd. data shows the average viewership rating for the men's singles free skate at the Sochi Olympics, broadcast on Fuji TV from the night of February 14 (11:00 PM to 4:50 AM on the 15th), reached 16.6% in the Kanto region. The peak rating in the same region hit 23.1% just before Yuzuru Hanyu secured the gold medal, an unusually high figure for late-night programming.

Meanwhile, the average viewership rating for the men's individual large hill ski jumping event, broadcast by NHK starting in the early hours of February 16, was 9.2% (Kanto region) between 4:30 AM and 5:00 AM. The peak instant rating was 10.2%, just before Noriaki Kasai secured the silver medal.
