Nikon New Product Launch Event Tsubasa Honda Joins as New CM Character

Nikon and Nikon Imaging Japan held a launch event on April 10 at JP Tower in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, for the latest model in the "Nikon 1" J series, the interchangeable-lens advanced camera "Nikon 1 J4" (scheduled for release on April 24).

Atsushi Godai, President of Nikon Imaging Japan, stated in his address, "With the proliferation of SNS and Twitter, photography is expanding its role as a communication tool. As users progress from documenting daily life to consciously composing shots, cameras must offer diverse expressive capabilities like image quality and depth perception." Naoki Kitaoka, Manager of Nikon Imaging Company's Development Division, explained features including high-speed performance, high image quality, and compact lightweight design. He introduced various functions, such as the ability to capture full-resolution still images even during video recording.

Model and actress Tsubasa Honda, the new CM character, appeared as a guest. Honda, who photographed her beloved dog for the "This is my photo." edition airing from April 24th, commented, "Photos of dogs tend to blur easily, but I could capture vivid, blur-free photos even with continuous shooting." The high-speed continuous shooting, at the world's fastest rate of approximately 20 frames per second, ensures decisive moments and unexpected instants aren't missed, even in fast-moving scenes. She also shared her experience using the "Nikon 1 J4," stating, "It's small and light, so I can easily snap photos spontaneously. It's made me more aware of small subjects." The commercial can be viewed on the company's website (starting April 24). http://www.nikon-image.com/sp/nikon1_j4/
