On the evening of June 12, giant letters spelling out "A Dream Month Begins" appeared across the entire wall of Dentsu Inc.'s headquarters building in Shiodome, Tokyo.
This blind emoji display, planned by Dentsu Inc., coincided with the opening of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil to build excitement for the tournament and cheer on the Japanese national team.
For about a month until July 14th, different messages will be displayed almost every day between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. On the first day, two patterns were shown: "A Dream Month Begins" and "Finally, the Opening." Depending on the tournament's excitement and the Japanese team's performance, two patterns per day are also anticipated going forward.
With the tournament broadcasts, fans now have another reason to look forward to seeing what messages will appear each day until the closing ceremony.
