To coincide with World Food Day, Dentsu Inc. released the movie "The Story of Leftovers" on the special World Food Day 2014 website ( http://www.worldfoodday-japan.net/nokomono.php ) on the 16th. This film, created in collaboration with 11 NPOs and NGOs, encourages reflection on "eating." It will be available until September 30 next year.

October, designated as World Food Day Month, is a month dedicated to encouraging more people to learn about, think about, and take action on food issues. NPOs and NGOs intensify their activities during this time, and Dentsu Inc. produced the film alongside them to raise awareness of these efforts.
The series consists of 18 stories. The "leftovers" charmingly discuss global food-related issues. By clearly conveying facts like one in nine people worldwide suffer from food shortages, the videos aim to make food issues feel more personal and relatable. Share buttons for social media and links to donation sites are placed within the pages, creating a mechanism to encourage awareness sharing and inspire real-world action.
